Shisha

The word "shisha," which is also the most common term for the tobacco smoked, is sometimes used to refer to the pipe itself. Traditionally, this tobacco is put in a hookah bowl after being steeped in flavoring juices. When heated with coals, the shisha is smoked from a "bowl" on top of the hookah. Hence, shisha is the name for the fragrant and tasty tobacco used in hookahs, but the phrase is also used to refer to the actual pipe because shisha is the Persian word for glass.

A Shisha bar Belgravia often referred to as a hookah lounge or a hookah bar, is where customers can use a water pipe to smoke shisha, a type of flavored tobacco known as hookah or narghile. Tobacco, molasses or honey, and various flavors—such as fruit, mint, or chocolate—combine to make shisha.

bars often have a laid-back and social vibe where customers may congregate with friends, partake in drinks and food, and smoke shisha in a group environment. They are common worldwide, especially in the Middle East, North Africa, and other areas, including Europe and North America. It's important to remember that smoking shisha still constitutes tobacco usage and entails identical health hazards to smoking cigarettes.

Most hookahs are made of glass and resemble works of art rather than smoking apparatuses. Although initially created in India, the custom of unwinding and socializing over a bowl of shisha has spread to the Middle East and India. It has only been about 20 years since hookah gained popularity in the West.
